Hotel Vila Verde Rooms

I was expecting a pre-packaged continental breakfast but got a 'home' prepared selection with multiple options, including hot bacon and eggs and fresh fruit. Location was in the middle of the town with several restaurants in close proximity. Easy parking on the street.

The Hotel staff are extremely accommodating and go out of their way to ensure you feel comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic, and the breakfast wait staff made sure my wife had gluten free Danish and breads. The area is very rural and relaxing.

Hotel Vila Verde is very well located, making it easy to access local attractions. Free parking is always available just outside, which is a huge convenience. The rooms are comfortable, with a cozy bed and complimentary tea and coffee facilities. Overall, it’s excellent value for the price and a great choice for a stay in the area.

I have stayed here before so returned because it was very good previously. I was not disappointed returning again. The staff were very good and attentive when needed, but also left you to enjoy your own time. The facilities were very clean and functional. This isn't a 5 star hotel more 3 star but excellent value & location and the breakfast included is very good for all tastes, buffet style but unlimited food and drinks of good wholesome quality, a great start to the day. Bedroom was clean and practical and I mentioned a lack of a fridge previously and this visit I noted it was added, so they listen to feedback to improve also, which is very reassuring. I noted other guests included couples and family, though I travelled alone but everyone seemed happy and content, a good sign generally.

What a quaint and neat hotel. We loved our stay. The staff and owner are friendly, helpful and most accommodating. Breakfast has a wide range of choices to cover every person's taste. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be back.

Super clean just modern enough easy access great staff. Super good restaurant close by.

Great breakfast

On arrival, the owner was super welcoming and insisted on taking our many heavy bags to our room so we could make it in time to a restaurant before closing. The hotel took great care to ensure that my gluten-free requirement was taken care of at breakfast. Some nice touches around the hotel included bottled water in the room and coffee stations around the landing. We had a room with a lovely balcony, and it offered a lovely view. I will be sure to return here and explore more the love little town and surrounding area.

Two weary touring cyclists battered by headwinds were welcomed with a warm reception. Bicycles stowed securely. Very nice hotel—clean and comfortable. Decent breakfast. A good place to stay in Castro Verde. Would definitely stay again. Obrigado! Michael Himes

Excellent hotel - we had a clean and quiet room. Staff were friendly and we were able to store our pushbikes safely whilst staying there. Breakfast was a lovely selection of fresh food. Nearby to excellent restaurants within a five minute walk.

Extremely helpful and friendly. I accidentally left a charger plug and UK/Europe adaptor there and they contacted me the next day even though we had moved on. Very efficient and so friendly and polite.

Under new "hands on" ownership since the last time we visited, this hotel has markedly improved. Basic but clean and comfortable accommodation and a good breakfast meant that we were well set up for the event we were due to take part in locally. Situated close to restaurants and cafes, there was plenty to choose from in terms of eating out.

Excellent staff. Wonderful room. Very big & comfortable. Bed was comfy. Shower had good pressure although temp could fluctuate a bit. Breakfast was fresh & tasty. Very central location too. Recommend nearby Casa de Alentejo for dinner.

Very very helpful staff, great location and good value

Mr Ben checked me in, which was an extremely excellent and professional process. The room was excellent, and the bed was very comfortable.Great breakfast as always, thanks to the team.

Tidy, mid-sized hotel in a great location. Rooms were small but comfortable with doors that opened to outside street. Staff was exceptionally kind and helpful, greeting us with offers for juice, coffee, cakes and showing us where to store our bikes. Front desk always had someone available to answer questions. Breakfast was lovely with home made cakes, all the usual items and nice touches like cinnamon sprinkles and hot milk for the coffee.
